What We Do
The mission of the League of Women Voters is to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy. The success of our democracy depends on the participation of our citizens. To help make that happen, LWVKC member volunteers work hard to engage and educate the public. We do this by:
- Registering voters (1,338 in 2024)
- Running radio ads to Get Out the Vote (55,000 listeners heard our ads last year)
- Passing out printed voter guides (we passed out 20,000 in 2024)
- Hosting candidate forums (last year 2,500 people took a look at our forums on YouTube)
- Posting on social media (in 2024 we originated more than 1,000 posts and shared countless more)
